FormscanBy Donal Murphy - Eoin McCarthy's Big Dee ended Gordon Elliott's stranglehold on this contest 12-months ago. Prior to that Elliott had won this race eight times in-a-row. The Cullentra handler had no less than 10 among the initial entry of 23, but has whittled it down to point-to-point winners CLASSICAL CREEK and Koktail Brut. The former, who will be ridden by Harry Swan, impressed at Tattersalls, coming home 10-lengths to the good when in the care of Cormac Doyle. Koktail Brut won by 25-lengths at Castletown Geoghegan, but was flattered by the margin of victory after being left clear at the last. Since purchased by current connections for €250,000, he is not one to underestimate despite jockey bookings. Closely related to a whole host of winners, Hunsaker is of interest on debut, while Faithful Follower and Dance Monkey are others of note.
